Periodontal Specialists of Montana

Welcome to our practice website. We congratulate you on taking the first step toward better periodontal health. Please utilize this website as a resource. It will help you better understand your course of treatment and answer any questions related to periodontal therapy.

Periodontics is a specialty of dentistry that deals with the maintenance of health and the diagnosis and treatment of gum disease, oral medical conditions as well as the placement of dental implants. In addition, a periodontist will often work in cooperation with restorative dentists to plan complex restorative dental cases that need surgical treatment.

Dr Manhart is a specialist in Periodontics. A periodontist is a dentist who has completed a university post-graduate specialty program in periodontics. Periodontal residency programs are an additional three years in duration following graduation from the four year dental school program. Most periodontists engage in research activities in addition to treating patients during residency. Dr Manhart completed a master’s degree in immunology in addition to his residency training.

The scope of therapy at our office emphasizes the conservative treatment of gum disease, cosmetic procedures, oral pathology/oral medicine, and dental implants that can replace single or multiple missing teeth.

Dr Manhart believes that close coordinating of your care with your family dentist is essential to successful periodontal and reconstructive dental treatment. We work closely with your dentist, but a referral by a dentist is not required to visit our office. We also welcome referrals from patients and friends of the practice. If your exam indicates the need for restorative treatment we can help you find a dentist to address these issues.

Our professional staff strives to make your visits with us as comfortable and pleasant as possible. They ensure that your surgical and administrative needs are met as efficiently and smoothly as possible. We are here to listen to your questions and concerns and to help provide solutions leading to your better health. Please contact us by e-mail if you have any questions regarding your care. Our office can be reached by email at info@drmanhart.com or by phone at (406-655-7970) or toll-free from Montana and Wyoming at (1-800-801-5076). Our fax number is (406-655-7969).
